Cecil Bernard Porter's Obituary
Cecil Bernard Porter, age 91, of Rural Wilson County, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Neodesha. Cecil was born on November 25, 1921 in Rural Wilson County, Kansas the son of Albert and Maude (Polson) Porter.
Cecil was a graduate of Coyville High School, after high school he joined the United States Army during World War II. After serving in the Army, he attended college. Cecil then returned home and began his career as a farmer and rancher. Cecil enjoyed doing anything that involved ranching and farming, he also enjoyed livestock auctions.

Several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, son; Jimmie Porter, brothers; Joe and Earl Porter, sisters; Dora Clark and Eileen Cage. 1 granddaughter Angela Marie Powell
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at Countryside Funeral Home with Pastor Dallas Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. The family has suggested memorials to the American Heart Association and/or the American Cancer Society and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
