Charles Delver Butler, Sr., age 56 of Chanute, KS, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 in Chanute, KS. Charles was born on March 31, 1962 in Iola, KS, the son of Walter and Wilma (Hulse) Butler. He attended Chanute High School. He is married to Patty Kessler and she survives him at the home.
Charles worked as a painter, carpet layer and carpenter. He enjoyed playing pool and darts and mowing yards. Charles enjoyed having company over and hanging out with his friends. He most of all loved his family and watching his grandchildren grow up. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Chanute. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. The family suggests memorials to be made to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Kansas City and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
