Charles "Charlie" Richard Fry's Obituary
Charles “Charlie” Fry, age 64, passed away November 2, 2014 in Chanute, KS. Charlie was born November 27, 1949 in Clinton, Missouri the son of Elzy and Myrtle (Browder) Fry.
When Charlie was 30, he married Ada Typer on June 22, 1979 in Miami, OK and later divorced. Charlie was a man that loved to work on vehicles. He owned Charlie’s Automotive and also owned his own towing service. He loved to create mud run trucks and compete in mud runs. Charlie enjoyed fishing in his spare time and he even opened a bait shop for awhile. Charlie was also a member of the Elks Club in Chanute.
Charlie is survived by his daughters; Wanda Fry of Chanute, and Melinda Dillow of Redfield, KS, sons; Michael Typer of Topeka, KS, and Charles Typer of Chanute, brother; Sam Fry of Omaha, NE, sister; Myrtle Huntington of Kansas City, KS, and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Elzy and Myrtle, brothers; William Billy Fry and Elzy Donald Fry, sisters; Linda Fry and Inez Williams, and grandson Zachery Typer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Johnson Chapel in Chanute. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 6, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute.
Family suggests memorials to Ronald McDonald House in Wichita which may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
