Charles Harvey Ogden's Obituary
Charles H. Ogden Jr., age 61, a resident of Independence, Kansas passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 at his home. He was born July 17, 1947 in Buffalo, Kansas the son of Charles Harvey and Mary Magdaline (Moss) Ogden.
Charles worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and socializing. Charles was united in marriage on September 8, 1967 to Charlotte Louise Chisham in Yates Center, Kansas, and she survives at their home. Other survivors include his mother Mary Cooper of Fredonia, Kansas, two sons; Jason Ogden of Neodesha, Kansas and Charles Ogden III of Independence, Kansas, six daughters; Millissa Hill of Concord, North Carolina, Sandra McCrone of Moorseville, North Carolina, Barbara Ogden of Independence, Kansas, Karen Miller of Fredonia, Kansas, Christi Callarman of Neodesha, Kansas, and Charlene Ogden of Independence, Kansas, three brothers; Larry Ogden of Carl Junction, Missouri, Wayne Ogden of Fredonia, Kansas, and Aaron Ogden of Toronto, Kansas, three sisters; Caroline Ogden of Orlando, Florida, Zandra Kim Lopez of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Candy Corish of Independence, Kansas and twenty three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother Marion Ogden.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Weakley Cemetery, New Albany. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions are suggested to the Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, P.O.
