Charlotte Commilla Newton's Obituary
Charlotte C. Newton age 79 of Benedict, KS., died Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Neosho Memorial Hospital, in Chanute. Charlotte was born on February 21, 1938 in Bakersfield, CA the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Margarite (Eason) Goins.
Charlotte worked as a cook and then became a long haul truck driver for Prime Trucking. In her free time, she loved to go cat fishing, she enjoyed nature and sitting out on her back porch watching hummingbirds. She enjoyed listening to Country Music, and she would play the piano and sing, as long as no one was around. Charlotte had a huge family and she loved being with them when possible.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her father Andrew, daughter Sherry Ann Towell and siblings: Virginia Y. Baker, Juanita L. Grisser and Jackie Lee Goins
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until service time on Tuesday. Burial will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at noon at the Washington, OK cemetery in Washington, OK. Memorials have been suggested to the Arbor Day Foundation and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
