Charlotte Louise Ogden's Obituary
Charlotte Louise Ogden, 64 of Independence, KS passed away at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, MO on March 19, 2015. Charlotte was born November 19, 1950 in Fredonia, KS to Lawrence Chisham and Mildred (Harrison) Chisham.
Charlotte was a lifetime resident of Southeast Kansas. She was a graduate of Fredonia High School and went to college for 2 years where she took drafting classes. Charlotte was united in marriage to Charles Ogden Jr. in Yates Center on September 8, 1967. Charlotte held many different jobs throughout her life including, factory work, retail sales and hospital volunteer work, but the most important job she held was that of a homemaker. Charlotte loved being a wife and mother to her children.
Charlotte is survived by her sons: Jason Ogden and Charles Ogden III. Her daughters: Melissa Hill, Barbara Ogden, Karen Miller, Christi Callarman, and Charlene Ogden. Her brother, Charles Chisham, and sisters Donna Johnson and Debbie Wrestler. Charlotte is also survived by 25 grandchildren.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Ogden Jr, daughter Sandra McCrone, and 1 grandchild.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Weakley Cemetery, New Albany, KS. Visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home Fredonia, KS on Wednesday prior to the Graveside Service from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Memorial Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society and can be mailed to or left in the care of the funeral home.
