Chesleroy W. "Bud" Maxwell's Obituary
Chesleroy W. "Bud" Maxwell age 82 of Rural Fredonia died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at his home. Bud was born on June 29, 1932 in Rural Fredonia the son of Harvey E. and Freeda (Ward) Maxwell.
Bud was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1950. After high school Bud attended Independence Community College where he played football. In 1952 he married Rita Sue Yocom and they later divorced. In February of 1953, Bud joined the U.S. Army and served his country until February of 1955.
Bud was a farmer and a rancher, he was one of the founding members of the Wilson County Fair Association and served on the board. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. Bud enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching all types of sports.
Bud is survived by Janet Maxwell of the home, longtime friend, care giver and confidant.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents and son Kyle Maxwell.
Graveside services will be held Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:30 AM at Weakley Cemetery near New Albany, KS. Visitation will be Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 5-7 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia. Memorials have been suggested to the V.F.W.
