Chester M. Moen's Obituary
Chester Marion Moen, age 85, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at his residence in New Albany, KS. Chester was born August 21, 1922 in Augusta, Kansas to Clayton and Sadie Moen.
Chester was in the United States Army, during W.W. II, serving from D-Day to the end of the war, with his entire tour of duty in Europe. In 1945 he married Dorthea Corrigan of Fredonia and they later divorced. In 1959 he married Margery Trehune, she preceded him in death March 5, 2005.
Chester spent most of his life in the Leon and El Dorado, KS area moving to Fredonia about 8 years ago. He was a retired truck driver. He was a life time member of The American Legion post number 0268.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margery, one sister Cora Muth and one great-grandchild.
Cremation has taken place, a memorial service will be held 2:30 pm, Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Altoona, KS with Pastor Jeremiah Morris officiating.
