Clay J. Honaker Jr's Obituary
Clay Jackson Honaker Jr, age 78, of Fredonia, died Friday, September 06, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. Clay was born on February 22, 1935 in Fredonia the son of Clay Jackson and Velma I. (Price) Honaker Sr.
Clay was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1953. After high school Clay joined the U.S. Marines Corp and served during the Korean War.
On December 1, 1957 Clay married Lillie Ann Wells in Fredonia, KS. Clay and Lillie were married for 48 years until her death of May 9, 2006.
Clay owned and operated a trucking company for 40 years out in California. After his retirement he returned to Fredonia and had a trailer sales company for many years. Clay was a past member of the Masons, and Lyon’s Club. He was a member of the Wilson County Old Iron Club and the Fredonia Senior Center. In his spare time, Clay enjoyed going to rodeo’s watching NASCAR and western movies.

Clay was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lillie, 2 sisters Alice Scott and Mildred Shafer and 1 niece Connie Schafer
A memorial graveside service will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Fredonia City Cemetery with Pastor Mike Hughes officiating. Memorials have been suggested to the Fredonia Senior Center, and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
