Cleda Robinson's Obituary
Cleda Irene Robinson, 88, of Fredonia, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Fredonia Regional Hospital, with her family by her side. Cleda was born on October 11, 1935, in Florence, KS., the daughter of William Taylor and Faye M. (Stovall) Robinson.
Cleda grew up in the Fredonia area was a graduate of Fall River High School class of 1953. During her high school years, Cleda participated in various sports, with her favorite being on the basketball team. Cleda worked at Bennett's Variety Store until they closed, she then went to work for Kansas Bank Note, where she ultimately retired from.
Being an outdoors person, she was always the one that helped her Dad with the chores on the farm, and in the garden. She had a garden every year, canning the produce until her health wouldn't allow it, then she "gardened" in tubs at the back of her home, still making her pickles from the cucumbers she grew.
Church was very important to her, she was very faithful to attend every service she could. She enjoyed the WCF ladies' group that met once a month and she loved it when it was her turn to host the gathering. She considered the Church family as her family also.
Cooking was one of Cleda's talents, and her Nieces and Nephews loved to gather at her house for those delicious meals. She will be missed by her family, as will her presence at the family gatherings.
