Clifford I. Jones' Obituary
Clifford I. Jones, 92 of Eureka, died Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Greenwood County Hospital. Clifford was born on August 25, 1925 in Fall River, KS, the son of Grover Cleveland and Tena Ellen (Wormington) Jones.
After school Clifford joined the US Coast Guard and served during WWII, after he returned he worked as a carpenter and also as the Greenwood County undersheriff for several years. Clifford also was known for his yard art work. He was a member of the VFW, Masons, and the Kansas Peace Officers Association. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On April 27, 1949 in El Dorado, KS, Clifford married Nadine Book. Clifford and Nadine were married for 69 years, Nadine survives at their home. Including all of his hobbies, Clifford’s main enjoyment was his family and grandchildren.

Daughter: Sharon Eade of Eureka, KS
Son: Don Jones and his wife Frankie of Douglass, KS
11 Grandchildren and numerous Great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, 3 children: Marlin Wayne Jones, Donna Aliene Foulke and Roger Dean Jones. 5 brothers: Eldon Jones, Clayton Jones, Eugene Jones and Ray Jones 2 sister: Wilma Jean Staus and Wanda Ruth Lee.
Funeral Services will be held, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
