Connie Lynn Claypool's Obituary
Connie Lynn Claypool (Divine) 78, Ret. Registered Nurse, passed away April 30, 2018 in Wichita, Ks. Connie was born on April 21st, 1940 in Moline, Ks. She spent her childhood on the family farm and graduated from Howard High School in 1958.
Connie attended William Newton Memorial School of Nursing in Winfield, Ks and received her nursing degree in 1961. She worked as an RN in Winfield, Eureka and Wichita hospitals before transitioning into public health nursing. Connie retired from the Wichita-Sedgwick County Department of Community Health in 1995 after 30 years of service. Connie was an avid sports fan and loved watching her Kansas teams compete. She maintained a continuing interest in all things medical and kept her active certification as a nurse after retirement.
Preceded in death by her Father, Raymond A. Divine and Mother, Phyllis M. Divine. She is survived by her son, David Claypool (Kelly) and brother, Randy Divine. Private family services will be held at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard, KS. Memorials have been suggested in her name to the Elk County 4-H Club and may be mailed or left with the funeral home.
