Corey L. Brooks' Obituary
Corey L. Brooks, 56, passed away Tuesday April 3rd, 2018 with family by her side under Harry Hynes Hospice Care. She was born December 9th, 1961 in Chanute, KS to Rowana J. "Sally" Brooks. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1980 and attended cosmetology school. After returning to Chanute she adoped two daughters. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Corey worked at Diversicare nursing home for 15 years then moved to Wichita in 2013 and worked at SE Enterprises and Via Christi Ascension Health.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rowana J. "Sally" Brooks and brother Clayton D. Brooks.
She is survived by daughters Nakesha Brooks of Kansas City, KS. and Mariah Brooks and daughter Zataya Brooks of Wichita, KS., nephew Jesse Ferrell and niece Courtney (Ferrell) Barnett of Topeka, Ks. Aunts, Louise (Brooks) Brown and Peggy (Brooks) Cheney and a host of Cousins.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at New Hope Baptist Church, Chanute, KS.
