Craig R Thompson's Obituary
Craig R. Thompson, 80, of Chanute, KS passed away at his home on March 17, 2019. He was born on March 8, 1939 to Wilbur and Genevieve (Russell) Thompson in Chanute. Craig married Phyllis Watts at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute on October 2, 1970. She survives at their home.
Craig was a loving husband, dad, and grandpa with a quick smile and contagious laugh. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed being a farmer and dairyman. He loved his family above all, especially his grandchildren. Craig will be missed by all who knew him, but especially his family who loved him dearly.

Craig was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Kruse; and nephew, Warren Kruse.
A visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home – Johnson Chapel on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 6-8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited on March 21, 2019 at 9:15 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Chanute. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to St. Patrick Catholic School or St. Patrick Catholic Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
