Craig James Wood's Obituary
Craig James Wood, age 78, of Chanute, KS, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. Craig was born the son of Kenneth and Cecilia (Rensing) Wood on January 10, 1936 in Iola, KS.
Craig worked for Ranz Motor Company in Chanute for 52 years, until his retirement. Craig was also a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by his twin brother Christopher Wood and wife Betty, and sister-in-law Linda Wood, all of Chanute, KS.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Cecilia, sister; Mary Hinkle, brothers; Leo Wood (infant), Herbert Wood, David Wood, and Kenneth Wood, Sr.
Rosary will be prayed Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 6:00 p.m., St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m., St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to St. Patrick’s school, and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
