Daisy Mae Woods' Obituary
Daisy Mae Woods, 96, passed away at Diversicare in Chanute, KS on December 14, 2017. She was born on October 30, 1921 to Edward and Rachel (Ulher) Holding in St. Paul, KS. Daisy married R. A. Woods on April 4, 1942 in Iola, KS. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1977.
Daisy was a loving mom and grandma who enjoyed sewing, crochet, and considered ironing a great way to relax. She loved to fish and volunteered her time at Cherry Street Youth Center. Daisy was an excellent cook who made the best fried chicken and homemade noodles. She was a faithful, lifelong member of Living Word Assembly in Chanute.

Daisy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, R..A. Woods; sons, Larry Woods and Kenny Woods; and daughter, Sharon Leggitt.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Johnson Chapel in Chanute, KS. A service will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m. with interment afterwards in Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
