Dale E Bailey's Obituary
Dale E. Bailey, 83, of Chanute, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.
Dale was born in Brazilton, Kansas on October 7, 1930, the son of Curtis A. and Edith (Klauman) Bailey.
He served his country in the U.S. Army.
Dale worked as an Engineer for the Railroad.He enjoyed western movies, just driving around and eating out.
Dale is survived by a daughter, Donna Wright and her husband Ernest and granddaughter Allie of Chanute; a grandson Paul, his wife Crystal and their children of Ft. Scott; a granddaughter, Shanna and her husband Joe and their children of Chanute; a daughter Carol and her partner Karyn of Wichita; Carol’s children Angela of Wichita and Jeffrey of Fredonia; a son Doug and his wife Marilyn of McPherson and Doug’s daughter Jeanne and her husband Donald and their children (too numerous to mention); a son Mike and his wife Marilyn of Olathe and their children Kelsey and Adam; a sister, Lucille Mitchell of Chanute; a brother-in-law, Earl Stanlick of Neodesha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Patricia; and a brother, Harold.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Thayer Cemetery.
Memorials in his name may be made to Cherry Street Youth Center or the First Christian Church Food Pantry and may be left with the funeral home.
