Dale Lee Hinkle's Obituary
Dale Lee Hinkle, 84, of Humboldt passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024. Dale was born on February 9, 1940, in California, the son of Clyde and Minnie Hinkle.
Dale’s family moved to Chanute when he was young, and he graduated from Chanute High School. After high school, Dale began his lifelong passion as a farmer. Dale absolutely loved to farm, and to be outside. Whether it was hunting, shooting his guns, or gardening, Dale was at peace whenever he was outside.
In 1990, Dale married Mary Ann Wood, they were married for 18 years until her passing in 2008. Dale was a very active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute. Dale will always be remembered as a man that loved children, loved his animals, and as a very driven and methodical man. Dale is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
The family will accept friends on from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 29, at Countryside Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Friday, March 1 at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 2:00 pm with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow the mass at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. Services entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, Chanute, Kansas 66720.
