Damon Lee Wilson's Obituary
Damon Wilson 16, of Howard passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in rural Howard from injuries due to a automobile accident. Damon was born on May 6, 1999 to Craig and Gina (Howell) Wilson in Wichita, Kansas.
Damon was a student at West Elk High School where he had just completed his Sophomore year. Damon was very outgoing and was active in numerous school activities. He played quarterback on the football team, as well as, was a member of the basketball, baseball and track team. Damon was also an active member of FFA, FCCLA, Student Council and National Honor Society. He worked as a lifeguard at the Howard City Pool and was a member of traveling baseball team during the summer. Damon also enjoyed coaching youth football and basketball teams.
Damon was a member of the Methodist Church in Howard. Damon enjoyed outdoor activities especially hunting and fishing. He loved his family and friends and made sure they knew he loved them. He was a great natured person and always loved to play pranks on others.
Damon is survived by his parents, Craig and Gina and his brother Tristen of the home. Grandparents: Kay and Lee Howell and Robert and Sherri Wilson. Aunt: Stacy Howell, Uncle; Mark Wilson, Cousins; Rae’Ven Loudermilk, Isaiahh Loudermilk, Devin Loudermilk and Skylar Harrod. As well as, his best friend Cade Miller.
Cremation has been requested. The family is planning a memorial service on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the West Elk High School with Pastor Stacey Ellsworth and Pastor Susan Galvin officiating.
