Daria Baker's Obituary
Daria Baker, age 83, of Fredonia, Kansas, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. Daria was born on December 19, 1927 in Fredonia, Kansas, the daughter of Juan C. and Epitacia (Pacheco) Florez.
On September 14, 1962 Daria married Paul E. Baker of Fredonia. They were married for 36 years until his death of April 29,1998. Daria worked several years in the binding department for LaDow and Spohn Printing in Fredonia.
Daria was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia. She was a member of the Altar Society and Sacristan. Daria enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles in her spare time. As she had no children, Daria was devoted to her church and its faith.

Many nieces,nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul; and brother Joe Florez.
Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fredonia with Father Steve Thapwa officiating, with burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fredonia. Rosary will be held, Monday, May 30, 2011 at 6:00 P.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at the church after rosary. Memorials have been suggested to either the Fredonia Regional Hospital Foundation or the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and may be left with the funeral home.
