Darlene F. Atkins' Obituary
Darlene F. Atkins of Fall River, Kansas, age 80, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Fredonia. Darlene was born to Elmer and Edith (Rand) Allison on June 11, 1930 in Rockford, Illinois.
On March 27, 1948 Darlene married Fred G. Atkins. Darlene and Fred were married for 57 years until his death of June 22, 2005.
Darlene was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W., Post 3018 of Fredonia, and the Ladies Teamsters Auxiliary. Darlene enjoyed traveling with her husband Fred when they were able to go. She was an avid bingo player, and enjoyed making special trips to the casinos. She enjoyed making ceramics, sewing and craft items. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents and husband Fred.
Darlene requested cremation, a graveside service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Weakly Cemetery near New Albany, with Pastor Susan Galvan officiating.
