Darrel was someone CE and I could depend on to help us with the zillion things we needed to get our farm house and place in order. We appreciated knowing we could look him up and he could give us suggestions for getting things done. A friendly guy and the kind that keeps a town going. He will be missed by family, friends, neighbors and the town of Grenola itself.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers. He was honorary and I loved every bit of it. God bless, Dorothy

Darrel was a great friend, always ready to help with community projects, share a hearty laugh or help brighten a day with his infectious humor. He was a Brother in time of need, and a Brother in Faith! He was never happier than when operating heavy earthmoving equipment such backhoes, motor graders, or dozers. He was experienced and good at any type of earthwork construction. Recently, he advised that the historic brick main street of Grenola had suffered gradual displacement and settlement, and he wanted to start a project to restore the street to it's original neat line brick elevation contours.
Darrel took pride in making things better; regardless if it be a pond that needed silt removed, construction of a new watershed dam or simply and perhaps most importantly, making a friend's day brighter. Thanks for allowing me to share. Dale Steward
