David Charles Alden's Obituary
David Charles Alden, 79, of Fredonia, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the Morningstar Care Home in Neodesha. Charles was born June 7, 1946, in Cresco, Iowa, the son of Charles Frederick Elwood and Norma Grayce (Orum) Alden.
David attended high school in Preston, MN, and graduated in 1964. He then spent four years at Midwestern School of Evangelism where he met and married Ima Strobridge on October 10, 1969. David and Ima spent many happy years together in Phoenix, AZ.
Both David and Ima loved to travel, garden, and work in their lawn. David worked as an inner-city truck driver in Phoenix, and loved his job. After retirement, he took care of his wife, Ima, until she passed away on December 31, 2016. David then moved to Fredonia, KS, to be near his sister, Sharon Mills, and her husband. David had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Cremation has been requested with no services planned at this time. Memorials in his memory have been suggested to either the Fredonia Flag Fund or Harry Hynes Hospice and may be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
