David Lee Morris' Obituary
David Lee Morris, age 82, of Fredonia, Kansas, died Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. David was born on June 26, 1929 in Piedmont, Kansas, the son of Edward and Grace (Larcom) Morris.
On March 27, 1948, David married Winifred E. Bradley in Wichita, Kansas. To this union three children were born. David and Winifred were married for 63 years. His wife Winifred survives at her home.
David worked at the General Portland/Lafarge Cement Plant in Fredonia for over 43 years until he retired in 1992. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fredonia. In his spare time, David enjoyed fishing, he was an avid Royals and Chiefs fan, and wood carving, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family.

David was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters.
David had requested cremation; a memorial service will be held, Sunday, September 18, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia with Dr. Terry Morris officiating. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home following the service. Memorials have been suggested to the Fredonia Regional Hospital Foundation, and may be left with the funeral home.
