David Rodney Shannon's Obituary
David Rodney Shannon, age 66, passed away on Nov. 26, 2014 in Humboldt, KS. David was born on March 6, 1948 in Kansas City, MO; the son of Norman Rodney and Mary Lou (Dorsey) Shannon.
David grew up in Wellsville, KS, attending Wellsville Schools and eventually graduating from Wellsville High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his children: Derrick Shannon and wife Amy L., Dalton Shannon, all of Humboldt, KS, Trevor Shannon and his wife Amy D. of Iola, KS, and his sister: Nancy Trober of Lawrence, KS.
Cremation is planned; Graveside Memorial Services for David Rodney Shannon are planned for Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at 10:30AM at Wellsville Cemetery in Wellsville, KS. The family will meet with friends the evening prior to the service, Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 from 5:00-7:00PM at Countryside Funeral Home- Humboldt Chapel. The family suggests memorials be made to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility located in LaHarpe, KS; the memorials may be sent in care of Countryside Funeral Home 101 N.
