Dean Alan Oliver's Obituary
Dean Alan Oliver, 68, of Chanute, KS, passed away at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS on December 17, 2018. He was born in Chanute, KS on February 11, 1950 to Everett Lee and Esther Bess (Swan) Oliver. Dean graduated from Chanute High School and later earned his associate’s degree from Neosho County Community College.
Dean was a loving dad and grandpa, and a great friend to many. He was smart, capable of building anything he set his mind to, and always ready to discuss politics. He loved watching football and basketball, especially the KU Jayhawks. Dean will be missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents.
A visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel in Chanute, KS on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will follow and inurnment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS at a later date.
