Debra Kay Phillips' Obituary
Debra Kay Phillips, age 46, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 in Wichita KS. She was born on August 29, 1968 in Girard, KS to Richard Reiff Swisher and Helen Patricia (Smith) Swisher.
Debra married Timothy (Clyde) Wills in 1985 and they were married 25 years before divorcing in 2010. She then married Jerry Phillips on November 6, 2010. She worked in Foster care for over 20 years. Debra loved spending time with her kids and her family. She was fighting nasopharyngeal cancer since 2011.
Debra is survived by her daughter, Tiffany (Marie) Bright and husband Mark of Chanute, KS, son, Trayton Phillips (Wills) of Chanute, KS, brothers: Marvin (Todd) Swisher of Chanute, KS, and Richard (Terry) Swisher of Chanute, KS, two grandchildren, Yvette Bright and Nicholas Bright.
Debra is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry, and her brother, Timothy Swisher.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home-Gibson Chapel on 16 N. Forest in Chanute. Visitation will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute.
Family requests memorials to be made to Cancer Treatment Centers of America –Tulsa, OK, and The Tray Phillips Education fund and may be mailed to the funeral home at 101 N Highland Chanute, KS 66720.
