Delbert Clarence "D.C" Jeans' Obituary
Delbert Clarence “D.C.” Jeans, age 85, of Thayer, Kansas passed away at home on Saturday, December 31, 2016 in Thayer, KS. Delbert was born on January 29, 1931 in Orlando, Oklahoma, the son of Thomas and Dora (Finnell) Jeans.
Delbert served in the Army as a Sergeant in Japan during the Korean War. On May 15, 1954, Delbert married Gladys Huss in Thayer, KS and celebrated 62 years of marriage this year.
In 1952, Delbert moved from Oklahoma to Kansas and began farming. He later started his own trucking business. Delbert was a member of the Thayer Christian Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved them all very much.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ronda Kay (Jeans) Trim; brothers, J.T. and Lawrence and sister, Donna Fisher.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Thayer Christian Church in Thayer, Kansas from5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be on Friday, January 6, 2017, 10 a.m. at the Thayer Christian Church. Interment will follow at the Thayer Cemetery. The Chanute Honor Guard is in charge of military honors. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
