Delfina Maria Muñoz's Obituary
On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, Heaven gained a beautiful angel. Delfina Maria (Gutierrez) Muñoz, 61, passed away surrounded by her family at Via Christi in Wichita, KS. Delfina was born September 25, 1953 to Felipe and Aurora (Ramirez) Gutierrez in Chanute, KS.
Delfina graduated from Humboldt High School in 1971. She also graduated from Independence Community College School of Cosmetology and has worked in that field ever since. On January 12, 1999, Delfina married Rogelio Muñoz.
Delfina enjoyed being a hair stylist and it was always her passion. She loved hanging out with her friends and was always the life of the party, because of her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Her nieces and nephews always considered her the favorite aunt. Delfina was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Delfina is survived by her husband Rogelio, brothers: Emeterio Gutierrez and wife Theresa of Humboldt, Phillip Gutierrez and wife Debbie of Humboldt and Gabriel Gutierrez and wife Monic of Humboldt, five nieces, two nephews, two great nieces and two great nephews.
Rosary will be read Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 6 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church 514 Central St., Humboldt, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 at 10 a.m., at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Humboldt. Family suggests memorials to the St. Patrick’s Catholic School and may be left with the funeral home.
