Delora May Baird's Obituary
Delora May Baird age 95 formally of rural Benedict, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at Neodesha Care and Rehab. Delora was born on December 16, 1923 in Kirksville, MO. The daughter of Harol M. and Willetta M. (Tanner) Rollins.
Delora was a graduate of Wichita North High School , class of 1942. She had worked as a secretary for General Portland Cement Company and also the Altoona Midway School system. She was a member of the High Prairie United Methodist Church and was an accompanist from 1954 until 2013. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of the UMW, and served others in the church for many years.
On January 18, 1944 in Wichita, KS, Delora married Owen Duane Baird, they moved to the Benedict area in 1951. Delora and Owen were married for 49 years until his death in April of 1993.

Delora was preceded in death by her parents, husband Owen and daughter Rhonda Jo Marple.
Cremation has been requested, with private family services held at a later date. Memorials have been suggested to either: Hometown Health Care-Hospice or the High Prairie United Methodist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
