Janene, Layne & Lucas,
So Sorry to hear about Dennis’ passing. I have so many great memories of good times we had. I will always appreciate his guidance when I was a new teacher, coach, driver’s ed instructor, as a Redskin or when he would calm me down and would remind me this too will pass. One of many memories I’ll never forget is the time I caught him by surprise on the dock fishing down in Texas at the resort where your family stayed. I drove around the parking lot twice looking for him I missed him the first time because he was baiting his hook and lighting a cig. & getting a beer. But when he stood up, I knew it was him. The look on his face as I walked down the long ramp was priceless! He laughed real big, gave me a hug, popped me a beer we had a toast and a big laugh. My wife reminded me I only got 1 because we were heading to the Valley. I was Sorry we missed each other at Fall River after he retired when we stayed at a Fall River cabin and he was out watching grandkids. I retire in May after 30 years and would not have made it without his guidance and friendship. May he live on forever in our memories!
Sincerely.
Thomas “John” Lent

Dennis and I were in Boyscouts, attended John Marshall and played football at North. We also had over nights at each other’s homes. I was shocked to hear of his passing. He will be missed.
Dennis and his family were long time friends. Our mothers were friends prior to our arrivals. After moving to Mississippi I had little contact except what my mother shared prior to her death and I have felt lost and had missed knowing about the family after my mother was no longer there to share. I enjoyed seeing him at reunions and missed him when he was not there. May God give the peace and comfort to his family that only He can give at these difficult times. I would love to hear from anyone who wants to touch base with me.
