Derek Don Roy Wilson, age 36, of Chanute, KS passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016 in Humboldt, KS. Derek was born on April 18, 1980 in Chanute, KS to parents Donald L. and Latisha M. B. (Browning) Wilson.
Derek worked as a transmission specialist and a tree trimmer. His family describes him as a free spirit. He loved being outdoors, riding his motorcycle, fishing, hunting and barbequing. He was a good storyteller and the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and his family including his four daughters. He also enjoyed his tattoos. Derek did not belong to any particular church but he was a very spiritual person.

Cremation has been requested. A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Countryside Funeral Home, Johnson Chapel. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
