Donald Dean Haymaker's Obituary
Donald Dean Haymaker, age 84, of Chanute, KS, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute. Don was born on August 25, 1932 in Chanute, KS, the son of Ernest and Edna (Johnson) Haymaker.
Don graduated from Chanute High School in 1950. On November 18, 1956, Don married JoLaVon Fox in Chanute, KS. She survives him at their home.
Don worked as a buyer for Kustom Electronics and then for Churchill Oil Pumps. Don enjoyed golfing, bowling, baseball and visiting with people. He was a fan of the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks. Don was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Chanute.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe and Verle Haymaker and sister, Joan Rausch.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland in Chanute. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. The Chanute Honor Guard will be in charge of military honors. Memorials have been suggested to the Seventh Day Adventist Church or Castaways Animal Shelter and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
