Donald Eugene Swartz's Obituary
Donald Eugene Swartz, age 77, of Buckner, MO., passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 at his home. Donald was born on September 1, 1935 in Ft. Scott, KS the son of Walter Lawrence and Ruby Gladys (Prettyman) Swartz.
After high school, Donald was enlisted in the United States Marines, after serving 3 years of service he received his honorable discharge. On October 14, 1963 in Kingsville, MO he married Sharon Gale Tanner. Donald and Sharon were married for 49 years. Sharon survives at their home.
Donald worked as a sheet metal worker for Allis Chalmers for thirty one years. In his spare time, Donald enjoyed collecting John Wayne and Johnny Cash memorabilia. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and NASCAR fan.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, son Billy Don Swartz, 4 brothers James and Chuck Swartz, Roy and Buddy Ferguson and sister Virginia Swartz
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Countryside Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Hughes officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Coyville cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to the Crossroads Hospice and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
