Don was always there for a smile and conversation. I worked with Don at Cobalt for several years, but had knew him for years before then. I remember telling Don about someone stealing an old ladder my Dad had left me, the next day he brought over an old ladder of his, he would not take any money in exchange. My Dad was an old railroad man and Don would share stories of his time working for the Rock Island railroad. Don would drive around town and if he saw a dog in a pen or that looked like it needed some care he would leave some dog food and spend a little bit of time , which I know these dogs appreciated. I will miss Don, prayers for comfort to his wife Carolyn, and all of his children and grandchildren.
