Donald Joseph Wolken, age 75 of Chanute, KS, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 in Chanute, KS. He was born on September 7, 1943 in Garnett, KS, the son of Lawrence Joseph and Margaret (Sobba) Wolken.
Donald married Linda Schwegman on June 6, 1964 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Richmond, KS. He worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation and then became owner, with his wife, of Fibrac Inc. for 23 years.
Donald loved doing yard work and making sure that he had no dandelions in his yard. He enjoyed working in his workshop and the challenge of fixing things. He most of all loved his family. Donald was a 3rd Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Sharon and grandson, Jordan Fields.
The family will greet friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel at 16 N. Forest in Chanute, KS. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the rosary at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
