Donald Wood II's Obituary
Donald Dean “Chip†Wood II, age 41, Fall River, Kansas passed away Friday, April 13, 2007 as a result of an auto accident. Chip was born in Wichita, Kansas on October 29, 1965, the son of Donald and Judy Shelton Wood. Chip was a graduate of Southeast High School in Wichita, Kansas. On June 28, 1997 he married Dawn Thompson in Wichita, Kansas.
Chip along with Dawn was the owner and head chef at The Wood Pit. He was well known throughout the area for the wonderful food he prepared. Besides being dedicated to the restaurant that he owned and operated he was very dedicated to his family.
Chip is survived by his wife Dawn of the home, one son Chance, two daughters Crystal and Courtney Shelton. His parents Don and Judy Wood of Fall River, Kansas, one sister Tracie Jordan, and a nephew Ben Jordan both of Fredonia, Kansas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at Countryside Funeral Home, Fredonia, Kansas with Rev. Gene Benefiel officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday with the family receiving friends from 5 to 6 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Fredonia City Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Chips’ children’s educational fund and may be left in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home, P.O.
