Donna Ella Alger's Obituary
Donna Ella Alger, 82, passed away on February 17, 2018 at Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS. She was born April 16, 1935 in Walnut, KS on the family farm, the daughter of Arnold and Velma (Sweet) Murdock.
Donna graduated from Walnut High School in 1953 as Valedictorian. On June 28, 1953, she married Howard L. Alger in Walnut, KS. Donna loved to square dance and go to flea markets and garage sales. She enjoyed collecting different things thru the years, but most recent collection was her cookie jars. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her family was very important to her. Donna could light up a room with her smile and she will be greatly missed. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Chanute.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Venice Murdock; brother-in-laws, Kenny and Melvin Alger and sister-in-law, Marjorie Cromwell.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Chanute. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
