Donna Kay Dye-Jones' Obituary
Donna Kay Dye-Jones, 63 of Chanute, Kansas passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 19, 2026.
Donna was born on September 12, 1962 on the Blytheville Air Force Base in Blytheville, Arkansas to Floyd and Irma (Doepke) Hanson. Donna was a proud graduate of the Chanute High School. Donna worked as the bartender at the Elks Lodge many years, building connections and friendships she loved dearly. During her free time, she loved to take motorcycle rides, crafting and cooking, especially her special ham rolls.
She is preceded in death by her son, Morgan Dye, brother, Robert Hanson, parents, Floyd and Irma Hanson, and husband, Charlie Jones.
Her memory will carry on with her daughter, Desiree Campbell and husband, Chris, one stepson, three stepdaughters, sisters, Cheryl Bunn and husband, William, and Barbara Watts and husband Michael, brother, Richard Hanson and wife Jodi, granddaughter, Avery Campbell, and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Donna will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Mount Hope Cemetery in Humboldt, Kansas. Memorial contributions can be made in Donna’s name to the Chanute Public Library and can be left with the funeral home.
