Donna L. Meisch Johnston's Obituary
Donna L. Meisch Johnston, 81, a resident of Howard, passed away on August 18, 2015 at her home. Donna was born on December 10, 1933 in Piedmont, KS to Wesley I. and Mildred E. (Misner) Norman.
After graduating from Piedmont High School, Donna was united in marriage to W.F. Meisch in 1952. Donna worked in accounting and tax preparation for the couples business: W.F. Meisch Dirt Contractor. The couple was married for 50 years when W.F. passed away in 2002. Donna then married Gene Johnston and they were happily married until his passing in 2006.
Donna was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church and a member of the VFW. In her spare time she loved sewing, dancing, playing cards, antique car parades and socializing at the Moline Senior Citizens Center. Donna loved her family immensely and loved spending time with them, especially her beautiful grandchildren.
Donna is survived by her daughter Linda D. Askew and husband J. Michael of Ochelata, OK. Brother: Larry D. Norman of Howard. Grandchildren: Jennifer D., Julie R. and Jeffrey T. Askew and Great- grandchild: Taylor W. Askew.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; Wesley I. and Mildred Norman, husbands; W.F. Meisch and Gene Johnston. Sister: Mary Darlene Meisch.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Howard United Methodist Church in Howard with Pastor Stacy Ellsworth officiating. Interment will be held Friday, August 21 at the South lawn Cemetery, Severy, KS. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to funeral service. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
