Donna Lee Miller's Obituary
Donna Lee Miller, 82, of Howard passed away Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at the Eureka Nursing
Center in Eureka, Kansas. Donna was born on April 14th, 1941, in rural Elk County, the
daughter of Herman and Ruby (Clifton) Harvey.
Donna attended Union Center rural school and then Howard High School where she graduated
in 1959. On February 4th, 1961 Donna married Robert N. Miller. They would eventually divorce
in 1992 after 31 years of marriage. During the 1960's they resided in Winfield Ks where she
worked for Benny & Smith Crayola and Mcgill's Restaurant. Donna returned to Howard in the
early 1970's working at local restaurants until opening her own restaurant in Howard, Miller's
Restaurant, in the mid 70's and into the early 80's. Donna and Robert eventually sold the
restaurant and in 1981 purchased the Plaza Theatre and Grill in Howard operating it for several
years. After nearly 30 years in the restaurant business Donna would move to Wichita Ks with
her family in 1988, where she would be employed at Electromech Technologies. She retired
from there in 2013 after 25 years of service. In retirement Donna would move back to Howard
living across the street from her son Nick and spending her remaining years close to family and
friends.
Donna enjoyed making quilts for her family, going to casinos and reading. She enjoyed talking
and visiting with her friends over coffee and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and ex-husband Robert N. Miller.
Cremation has been requested with a Celebration of Life Service to be held on Saturday, July
22nd, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorials have been suggested to the Shriners
Hospital For Children and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Online condolences
