Doris M. Robertson's Obituary
Doris Robertson, age 85, of Chanute, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 at her home in Chanute, KS. Doris was born on September 18, 1931 in Roper, KS the daughter of Roosevelt and Lilly (Hildebrant) Lindquist.
Doris married Lloyd McIntosh and they had a son, Shane, and a daughter, Michelle, together before getting divorced. She later married Don Robertson on June 19, 1986 in Miami, OK. He survives her at the home.
Doris worked at the Chanute Wal-Mart for 20 years at the Customer Service department before her retirement in 1999. She was a caring person who loved cooking for and spending time with her family, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when they would get together and play cards. Her passion was bowling and she was quite good at it, even earning herself a place in the Chanute Bowling Hall of Fame. Doris was a proud American and was a member of the Chanute VFW and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Chanute.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Lois McCulley and a brother: Eldon Lindquist.
Cremation has been requested. A graveside services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute, KS. There will a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus, 325 W 21st St. Chanute, KS 66720. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
