Dorothey Jane Pollard's Obituary
Dorothey J. Pollard, of Fredonia, Kansas, age 75, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Neodesha, Kansas. Dorothey was born on April 23, 1935 at Loop, Texas the daughter of James Edgar and Millie Elizabeth (Hurley) Hill.
On December 19, 1952 Dorothey married Rev. Frankie D. Pollard. Dorothey and Frankie were married for 51 years until his death of February 4, 2003.
Dorothey and her husband were in the ministry for over 40 years, mostly in the Oklahoma towns of; Reydon, Taloga, Elm Grove, Buffalo, Enid, Lonewolf, Cyril, Sentinel and Carnagie. Dorothey was also a Department Manager for Wal-Mart for 15 years in the Louisville, Texas area. Dorothey was devoted to the Women’s Ministry Group, she enjoyed quilting, playing the piano, and loved watching Bonanza. Most of all she enjoyed her family.

Nancy Beckham of Ft. Worth, Texas
Karrie Retherford of Fredonia, Kansas
10 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
Dorothey was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frankie, four brothers; A.C, J.B, Toy and Joe Hill, and four sisters; Doris Omega, Joy, Louise and Norma.
Cremation has been requested, a Celebration Of Life service will be held Wednesday July 7, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church of Fredonia.
