Dorothy M. Wilson's Obituary
Dorothy Mae Wilson age 94 of Independence, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. Dorothy was born on October 20, 1920 in Gilford, KS the daughter of William Earl and Vera Annas (Elder) Dennis.
Dorothy was a graduate of Iron Post High School in Oklahoma. In 1956 she married Edward Earl Wilson in Miami, OK., they were married for 27 years until his death in 1983.
Dorothy worked as a switchboard operator, bank teller, and a tax preparer for several years. She retired from the Fredonia School Systems after working 17 years as a custodian. Dorothy enjoyed sewing and making doll clothing, she enjoyed working in her garden, traveling, and was a great cook, and enjoyed feeding friends and family when they showed up to visit.

7 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 16 Great Great-grandchildren
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, and 3 brothers Earl Dennis, Bob Dennis and John Dennis.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia with Rev Gene Benefiel officiating, burial to follow at High Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
