Douglas Lee Brooks, age 59, of Chanute, KS passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 in Wichita, KS. Douglas was born on September 8, 1956 in Chanute, KS the son of Leona (Schul) and Lester Brooks, Jr.
Douglas graduated from Chanute High School in 1974. On June 2, 1989, Douglas was joined in marriage with Linda Catterson in Miami, OK.
Douglas worked as a welder at Young’s Welding in Chanute and for 31 years. He liked the old Rock & Roll and loved riding his motorcycles in his younger years. Douglas most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Douglas was a member of the Faith Bible Church in Chanute.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 5 p.m. at the Faith Bible Church in Chanute. A visitation will be held prior to the service on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Faith Bible Church in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
