Drake DaMon "Drakie" Walls' Obituary
Drake DaMon “Drakie” Walls, age 5, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Anderson County Hospital in Garnett. Drake was born April 21, 2009 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Cornell DaMon Walls and Haley Anne Wright.
Drake was in kindergarten and was known by all who knew him to be the super, over the top, energetic, fun-loving kid. He had a huge smile and an infectious giggle. He also had a softer, sensitive side, and enjoyed snuggling with his family. He loved all things Superman and Spiderman, spending time with his many cousins, and playing Skylander’s on his Xbox. Drake will be greatly missed, always remembered and never forgotten.
He is survived by his parents; Cornell Walls, and Haley Wright, brother; Treyson Walls, sister; Arayah Walls, grandparents; Jamie and Judi Wright, and Julie Walls, great-grandparents; Drew Walls, Bob and Margaret Johnson, and William Wright, aunts and uncles; Adam and Jill Kepley, Casey and Chelsea Jesseph, Adam and Shelbi Giacalone, Cedric, Jerrod, Tyrah, Chantae, and Tyrone Walls, cousins; Madelyn, Tyler, and Jason Kepley, Cole and Caleb Jesseph, Nathan Giacalone, Cha’Kyra, Zaiden, Zaila, and Stella Walls.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather; Tendall Walls.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 6, 2015, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church Good News Center. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the family and may be made out to Haley Wright, to help defray the cost of medical expenses incurred from the accident. Memorials may be left with the funeral home. Countryside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
