Duane L. Bohm, age 89 of Ottawa, KS and formerly of the Elk Falls area, passed away October 11, 2020 at his home. Duane was born August 5, 1931 on the family farm north of Athol, KS to Frederick and Viola (Smith) Bohm. He grew up Read Obituary
Duane and Alice were our neighbors in Elk Falls for twenty years . We shared so many beautiful times together. Most of the time working together on some project either at their home or ours . But we also shared trips together to Branson and Precious Moments . We were like family.
We grieved with Duane , Karen and Clayton when we said goodbye to Alice .
We then became good friends with Shirley a few years later .
We can’t be with you today but we will be with you in Prayer .
Duane we bid you Farewell, until we meet again .

I met Duane twice and enjoyed that time I have known Shirley and the boyfor over 40 years and am sorry for Shdrley and family. Just know we re praying and thinking of all of the family. Dwayne and Judy and my Boys zChadand Brad.
Duane and I grew up about 1 mile apart, as the crow lies, in Pleasant Township, Smith County, Kansas. We attended the Hopkins one- room school. We were confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church on October 14, 1945. Much of our social activity was together with other families in the neighborhood. Our fathers were good friends working together on projects such as stacking alfalfa hay.. The only time I saw my father cry was when he told me, "Fred Bohm died today". Duane and his family have been supporters of Home on the Range in recent years. May God's Holy Spirit comfort and abide wih you.
