Earl C. Morgan's Obituary
Earl C. Morgan, age 95, formerly of Chanute, KS passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Aberdeen Village in Olathe, KS. Earl was born February 23, 1920 in Girard, KS the son of Benjamin and Augusta (Grosse) Morgan.
Earl married Leona Anderson on October 10, 1948 in Chanute, KS. He worked as a Postal Clerk for the Chanute Post Office for 32 years until his retirement. Earl was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Chanute. He was also a member of the V.F.W., the American Legion, and the Elks. Earl loved camping, travel, bus trips and elder hostile which was retired individuals who took summer classes at different colleges.
Earl is survived by his sons; Bruce Morgan and wife Lynne of Beaufort, South Carolina, Dale Morgan and wife Candy of Olathe, KS, grandchildren; Jacob Morgan and wife Stacey, Carly Groff and husband Mike, and 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Augusta, his wife; Leona, and a sister Etoile Morgan.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Chanute. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:00 prior to the service. Family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church.
