Eda Carlene Nettles' Obituary
Eda Carlene (Brust-Collier) Nettles, 81, a resident of Moline, Kansas passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 in Sedan, Kansas. She was born on September 1, 1940 to Emil and Maybelle Brust in Wichita, Kansas. Eda earned her high school diploma and later graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Butler Community College. She worked for many years in quality control and for AT&T and Integrate checking computer chips.
She married Donald Collier in Wichita, Kansas and after his passing Eda retired moved to Moline.
On May 17, 2001, she married Ted Nettles in Newkirk, Oklahoma. The couple owned a mowing business in Moline as well as an antique business out of their home. Ted passed away in 2008.
Eda had no children of her own, however she was blessed with and survived by a step-daughter Caroline Eschenbrenner of Udall, KS.

Brother Paul (Betty) Brust and their son Luc of Wichita

Jim (Jo Ellen) Clements of Colorado
Randy (Shaynah) Clements of Easton, Kansas and Niece Sharon
She was preceded in death by:
Her parents Emil and Maybelle
Husbands Donald Collier and Ted Nettles
Brother Dean Brust
Sister Mary (James “Buddy”) Sparks
The family will receive friends and relatives for visitation on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10 am – 12 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Howard, KS. A graveside service will follow at Moline City Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Chautauqua County Humane Society in Eda’s memory and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
