Edward Dayton Ford's Obituary
Edward D. Ford, age 87, of Humboldt, KS passed away at Diversicare of Chanute on Friday, January 23, 2015. Edward was born on May 17, 1927 in Elk City, KS, the son of Dayton and Marie (Kimzey) Ford.
On July 3, 1952 Edward married Thelma Wrestler at the Church of the Nazarene in Chanute, KS. Edward served in the Army during World War II, and was stationed in Japan. After returning home he worked for H.B.D. Industries for many years before retiring. Edward was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Humboldt, KS.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife Thelma; his parents, Dayton and Marie Ford; and five brothers, Dan, Earl, Ray, Doug, and Joe Ford.
He is survived by one sister, Agnes Segard and husband Leo of Wichita, KS; and four brothers, Myrl and wife Maurine of Humboldt, KS, Rex and wife Scarlett of Tecumseh, Roger and wife Jayne of St. Peters, Mo., Neil and wife Patricia of Chanute, KS.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the friends that helped with Edward while he was living in Humboldt.
A Celebration of his life will be held and announced at a later date by the family.
